What are the Check-in and Check-out times for accommodation guests?

Check-In and Check-Out Times – Village Sector

 Check-In

  • Access to the Village Camping is available from 8:00 AM.
  • Key collection: starting from 5:30 PM.
  • Early chek-in: If you arrive before 5:30 PM, you can still access the facility, complete registration, and start enjoying the available services, including: internal car/motorcycle parking, shared restrooms, swimming pools with sunbeds and umbrellas, bar and restaurant services, and Mini club and entertainment (available from June 22 to September 6, with variable frequency based on seasonality).
  • Arrival after 11:30 PM: In this case, the night porter will handle key collection and document retrieval. Full check-in must, however, be completed by the following morning.

 Check-Out

  • Check-out time: the accommodation key must be returned by 9:00 AM.
  • Late Check-Out: If you wish to stay in the accommodation unit until 4:00 PM, you can request late check-out. This service is subject to a fee, based on availability, and must be requested at the Management office the day before departure.
  • Stay in the Village: After returning the accommodation, permanence inside the village is allowed until 12:00 PM (noon).
  • After 12:00 PM: For those who wish to stay past this time, payment of the visitor's rate is required. The rate is fixed and does not depend on the age of the vacationer or the duration of the stay.
What are the check-in and check-out times for guests staying in the accommodation?

Check-In and Check-Out Times – Camping Sector

  • Check-In: Check-in is available starting from 8:00 AM.
  • Check-Out: Check-out must be completed by 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
  •  Stay in the campsite (tents, caravans, campers, and similar) is calculated from any time on the day of arrival until 10:00 AM on the day of departure. Any extension of the stay beyond this time will result in the charge of an additional day's stay.
How are the accommodations and pitches arranged within the village?

The camping village extends over a very large area—about 150,000 m² of pine forest and Mediterranean scrub within the Porto Conte Natural Park. We are 150 meters from the sea. Bungalows, mobile homes, lodge tents, chalets, and pitches for tents, caravans, and campers are available. Each solution offers different amenities based on the chosen category. The maximum distance an accommodation or pitch can reach from the sea is approximately 300 meters. There are more central types located near the main area of the facility, where you will find the pool area, the restaurant/pizzeria, and the bar. Campers and caravans are positioned in reserved pitches to allow easy maneuverability, while tents are located in the most central part of the park, surrounded by a majestic and dense shaded pine forest.

Is it possible to choose your own accommodation or pitch?

During booking, it is not possible to choose a specific accommodation or pitch number because assignment is carried out by our offices with the aim of chaining customer arrivals and departures as much as possible. The reservation only guarantees the type of accommodation and the requested period of stay. When booking, it is still possible to indicate a preference regarding the area, which we will try to fulfill during the assignment of the accommodation or pitches.

Are arrival and departure days flexible?

Yes, arrival and departure days are flexible. However, in high season, some types of accommodation may require minimum stays. A minimum stay is also required for camping pitches, such as during the Ferragosto period. We recommend checking during booking: the system always shows the available combinations for the dates you desire.

Is a deposit required upon arrival for accommodation guests?

Upon your arrival, a valid credit card will be required to guarantee the accommodation unit and its internal equipment. No pre-authorization is performed on the card; debit cards or rechargeable cards are not accepted. Alternatively, it is possible to leave a security deposit of € 350.00 via check, which will be returned upon departure after the accommodation has been checked by our staff. Cash deposits are not accepted, except in rare cases to be communicated during booking and subject to approval by the booking office

What types of accommodation/pitches do you offer?

The camping village offers several options:

  • Bungalows - Chalets - Rooms: Independent villas, surrounded by greenery, no more than ~50 meters from the path leading to the sea.
  • Mobile Homes: Mobile homes of various sizes, for various family needs, available in both standard and superior versions.
  • Glamping / Lodge Tent / Mini-Lodge: Equipped tents in "glamping" style, solutions more immersed in nature, designed for those seeking a more "camping + comfort" experience.
  • Pitches for tents, caravans, or campers: for those who prefer the traditional camping mode, with space in the pine forest/camping area.
  • Pets are allowed in pitches, Bungalow - Chalet - Lodge Tent Sun - Mobile Home Comfort and Deluxe - Standard Double Room. 

Air Conditioning in Accommodations

  • The Lodge Tents and Bungalows (no Mini Lodge) are not equipped with air conditioning. The accommodations are shaded and well-insulated. Superior Bungalows are equipped with new window frames with mosquito nets on all windows.
  • The Lodge Tent Airsuite, on two levels, stands out for its open and sunny position, without vegetation covering it.
  • All other types of accommodation are equipped with air conditioning via a modern paid card system and also have mosquito nets in the bedrooms.
  • The use of air conditioning is optional and there is a supplement of € 40.00 for 24 hours of operation (not continuous), meaning the customer can purchase a climate card and fractionate its use during their stay.
  • The service can be purchased both during booking and directly at the facility and is non-refundable if unused.
  • For the Mobile Home Sole and Junior Suite, a climate card is included in the price along with beach towels and bathrobes.
When must the balance for the stay be paid?
  • If you are staying in accommodation, the balance is required upon arrival, along with the payment of the tourist tax. If you have chosen a prepaid rate, upon your arrival you will only be asked to pay the city tax and any additional extras added at check-in.
  • If you are staying in a pitch, the balance must be paid by the day of departure, along with the tourist tax. If you have chosen a prepaid rate, you will only need to pay the city tax and any optional extras added on site.

  •  An identity document will be held as a guarantee of payment until the account is closed ; if you wish to immediately retrieve your document, you must pay the amount due.

  • Payments are made directly at the facility, with Visa - Mastercard credit card or cash (up to the legal limit). 

  • Bank transfers for the balance should not be made on the same day as arrival ; if requested and allowed, they must be made at least 7 days before the arrival date.

Must the tourist tax be paid in Alghero?

Yes—anyone staying at Torre del Porticciolo (which is an accommodation facility in the Municipality of Alghero) must pay the tourist tax required by the Municipality of Alghero, unless they are a resident of the municipality itself. The tourist tax is mandatory for all tourists aged 12 years and over, for a maximum of 7 consecutive nights. The expected amounts are as follows:

  • € 1.00 per person per night for guests staying in a camping pitch.
  • € 2.00 per person per night for guests staying in accommodation/housing unit. The tax payment will be requested exclusively upon arrival at the facility. This amount is an additional cost and is not included in the total booking price
Can I set up two tents on the same pitch or a tent on a Caravan or Camper pitch?

No, it is not possible to set up more than one tent on the same pitch.

  • One pitch = 1 tent.
  • Camper/Caravan pitches = only the vehicle + awning connected to the vehicle*.
  • Every additional tent set up requires the charge of a separate pitch.
  • Vehicles set up for sleeping are always considered Campers (cars, off-road vehicles, etc.).
What services are included for guests staying in the campsite with their own tent, camper, or caravan?

The campsite is equipped with two recently renovated service blocks powered by solar energy, with free hot water for personal hygiene. Black/grey water drainage is also free at the camper service. Services include: guest reception with a porter's lodge open 24 hours a day, external surveillance service, one car/motorcycle parking space (any additional car/motorcycle space is subject to a fee—see camping rates for details). Free access to: two swimming pools with sunbeds (one for adults and one for children), two jacuzzi tubs (adults only), a children's play area, a tennis court (with your own equipment), and a ping-pong table. Sports activities - Mini Club and Evening musical Entertainment are available as per the following indications:

  • Fitness Service active in July and August with a guaranteed minimum frequency of 3 times a week.
  • Trekking: free weekly excursion in July and August to discover the Natural Park, with our certified hiking guide.
  • Mini Club Service (from 3 years old) from 22/06 to 06/09/2026 with a guaranteed minimum frequency of 3 times a week in June and September and 6 times a week in July - August (schedule being defined; minimum guaranteed activity 2 H per day).
  • Musical Evenings from 22/06 to 06/09/2026 with a guaranteed minimum frequency of 3 times a week in June and September and 6 times a week in July - August.
  • Ultrafast WiFi. All activities are included in the price of the stay and can therefore be used without a separate additional cost beyond what is already provided for the stay.
What services are included for accommodation guests?
  • First supply of sheets and towels (extra changes for a fee).

  • Blankets, pillows, electricity and water consumption.
  • One car/motorcycle parking space per accommodation; additional spaces for a fee.
  • 24-hour Reception and external surveillance.
  • Free access to: 2 swimming pools with sunbeds, 2 adult jacuzzis, children's play area, tennis court (with own equipment), ping-pong.
  • Final and ordinary cleaning costs included.
  • Fitness Activities (July and August, min. 3 times/week).
  • Free weekly Trekking with guide (July and August).
  • Mini Club (22/06–06/09/2026): 3 times/week in June and September, 6 times/week in July and August (min. 2h per day).
  • Musical Evenings (22/06–06/09/2026): 3 times/week in June and September, 6 times/week in July and August.
  • Ultrafast WiFi.
  • Daily tidying of the accommodation is not included in the price.
  • The kitchenette, where present, must still be left clean by the customer upon departure. Otherwise, a penalty of € 50.00 will be charged.
  • The kitchenettes in our accommodations are equipped with dishes, crockery, and cutlery for the corresponding number of beds. A coffee maker is not provided. Please view the specific list of equipment for the booked accommodation, downloadable on our website.
  • All activities are included in the price of the stay and can therefore be used without a separate additional cost beyond what is already provided for the stay.
Are pets allowed?

Yes, Pets (dogs and cats) are allowed in the camping pitch and must circulate within the facility on a leash.

  • For guests staying in our accommodations, the presence of pets must be communicated during booking, as they are only allowed upon request and only in certain types of accommodation.
  • Only small or medium-sized dogs are accepted, a maximum of 2 per accommodation.
  • The presence of cats must be reported during booking and is subject to approval by the Booking office.
  • In both cases, a mandatory supplement of €50.00 per stay per animal is provided for supplementary cleaning.
  • Inside the camping village: Dogs can access the covered outdoor terrace of the bar and restaurant. They can circulate in the village always on a leash. Access to the swimming pools is not allowed. The beach in front of the village is not officially a Dog Beach, but it is still frequented by guests with pets, generally positioned in the quieter areas. The Porto Ferro beach, officially a Dog Beach and perfectly accessible to customers with dogs, is located 3.7 km away. The surrounding area, being part of the Natural Park, offers many small roads and open spaces where the dog can walk and play safely.
How do electronic payments work within the facility?

To ensure greater convenience and security for our guests, we have an electronic money payment system.

  • Upon registration at the reception, you will be given a white card for internal use. The card has no cost to the customer.
  • It can only be reloaded with cash at our totems, and you can independently decide the amount to load.
  • The unused amount will be returned in cash upon departure.
  • In case of loss or damage, a penalty will be retained.
  • On the day of departure, it is possible to unload the card and recover the unspent amount from 7:30 AM to 11:00 PM. No refunds are provided via bank transfer in case of oversight. It is not possible to unload the card outside the indicated hours.
  • The use of the card is necessary for all purchases at the village sales points.
  • At the Market and the Bar adjacent to the pools: it is possible to pay only with electronic money ; cash payments are not accepted, even for a single night's stay.
  • At the Restaurant - Pizzeria and the Beach Bar Kiosk: it is possible to pay with electronic money, cash, Visa - MasterCard credit cards.
Can I book the ferry with your travel agency?

Yes, at our secretariat it is possible to reserve the ferry ticket combined with the stay in the village or campsite. We offer discounted rates with Grimaldi, GNV, Moby, Tirrenia, Sardinia Corsica Ferries, with departures from Genoa, Livorno, Piombino, Civitavecchia, and Toulon and arrival in Porto Torres, Golfo Aranci, or Olbia. For a quote, you need to communicate: port of departure and arrival, number of passengers, accommodation on the ship, vehicle/trailer, and preference for the route (daytime/nighttime). Are transport services available for those traveling without a car?

Yes, for guests without a vehicle, we offer several solutions for easy movement:

  • Beach Bus: connection between the village, Alghero, and the main beaches. Pick-up at the facility. Paid service (mid-May – end of September). External service subject to reconfirmation for 2026.
  • NCC (Car rental with driver) to/from the airport: bookable at the secretariat, providing flight and airport details. Rates are available on our website in the services section.
  • Car/motorcycle rental on site: discounted rates, delivery directly to the village. Info: info@rentacarexpress.it.
  • Bike/e-bike rental with on-site delivery
Is the camping village close to the beach? Are sunbeds and umbrellas available?

The facility is located 150 m from the sea and 30 m above sea level. The beach can be reached in two ways:

  • A gently sloping sandy path, immersed in vegetation.
  • A path with steps, for those who prefer a more direct and structured route. Both paths lead to the sea in a few minutes and are suitable for those who enjoy walking outdoors.
  • Beach Characteristics: Sandy shore; mixed sand and rock seabed. Ideal beach for those who wish to snorkel in an uncontaminated natural environment.
  • Free section and equipped section: the paid service can be purchased daily on site or during booking, combined with the entire stay. The renewal of the concession is currently underway ; booking the service will be possible upon completion of the administrative procedure
Is it possible to take out travel cancellation insurance?

Yes, guests of Torre del Porticciolo can add the "Booking Protection" policy by Allianz Global Assistance within 48 hours of booking, completely independently. The purchase is quick and easy. It is possible to calculate the cost of the insurance by entering: total amount to be insured (deposit or entire stay), number of guests, and date of the simulation (for calculating the quote). When actually purchasing, the booking confirmation date must be indicated

Is it possible to rent a crib (travel cot)?

Yes, for children aged 0 to 2 years, one crib per accommodation is provided included in the price. Crib linen is not provided. The infant must always be included in the booking for availability verification, as they are only allowed in some accommodation categories due to limited space. If not indicated in the booking, the mandatory service will be charged on site at a cost of €10.00 per day. For every reservation, the aforementioned item is still subject to availability at the time of request.

Is the Restaurant accessible to all guests?

What can be eaten?

  • Guests with half board have access to the restaurant included in the package, with non-buffet dinner service, according to the indicated times.
  • Guests without half board can still use the restaurant, purchasing à la carte meals or dedicated menus directly on site.
  • The restaurant offers local and international cuisine dishes, with gluten-free options (upon prior communication).
  • It is open for lunch and dinner and takeaway cuisine can be ordered. Pizzeria service is available from June to September.
Are disinfestations carried out?

Disinfestation treatments are regularly carried out during the closing months. We remind our kind guests that the facility is located in the open countryside, where it is natural to encounter ants, mosquitoes, bees, and other insects, as well as small field mice. To best enjoy the experience, we suggest some simple precautions:

  • Do not leave open food or drinks that may attract insects.
  • Keep mosquito coils, citronella, or repellents of your choice handy
Is it possible to charge electric vehicles?

We are equipped with two Wallbox charging stations for your electric vehicles, capable of supplying up to 22 kW of charging power. The customer must download the specific application, pay with a credit card/wallet, and provide their own charging cable.

Is there a laundry room for camping village guests?

Yes, washing machines and dryers are available in our Laundry area for a fee (cash only).

Can I host family/friends for the day or overnight?

Yes, you can receive guests (family or friends) during the day inside the campsite/village under the following conditions:

  • Entry is permitted at the discretion of the Management, only during the day, on foot, and upon delivery of an identity document and payment of a visitor rate provided by the official price list.
  • Day Guests: To enter, visitors must show an identity document and pay the appropriate rate. Access with transport vehicles (cars, bikes, scooters, etc.) is not allowed for visitors; they must enter on foot. Minors are only allowed if accompanied by a responsible adult. The rate is unique for any entry into the facility and is not subject to reductions related to the visitor's age or stay duration.
  • In summary: you can invite friends or relatives during the day, but they cannot stay overnight unless previously communicated to the facility and included in your booking, resulting in a consequent update of the due rate
Is the use of a swimming cap mandatory in the pool?

Yes, the use of a swimming cap in the pool is mandatory.

From what age is it possible to use the hot tubs?

The jacuzzi tubs are reserved exclusively for adults. Access is not permitted to children or teenagers under 18, even if accompanied by an adult. The jacuzzi area is considered a relaxation zone and is available from mid-June.
